State Senator Ed Kennedy met with advocates from UTEC at his State House office on Tuesday, May 16. Advocates from UTEC spent the day on Beacon Hill meeting with legislators to garner support for a budget amendment that would create a Social Enterprise Mattress Recycling Pilot Program. The pilot program that would be administered by the Department of Environmental Protection. The amendment would provide funding for at least one nonprofit entity that would provide mattress recycling services in the Commonwealth.
