LNHP Canal Boat tours start Memorial Day weekend!

  • Friday June 7 – Sunday June 9: The Friends of the J. V. Fletcher Library in Westford hold their June Book Sale.  A Friends Members Only Sale will be held on Friday evening from 6:30 to 9 p.m.  A Friends membership (which may be purchased at the door) is necessary for attending the Members Only Sale.  The entire public is invited to the all day Saturday sale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and to the Sunday half-price extravaganza sale from 2 to 4 p.m.
  • May 16 – September: Westford residents who meet income guidelines will be able to receive organic produce through Gaining Grounds of Concord. To participate one must sign an income attestation on the day of produce pick up. This distribution is held at the Westford Housing Authority at 65 Tadmuck Rd. The freshly picked vegetables will be distributed at 1:00.  Any questions call Annette at 978-399-2326. 
  • June 11 – Project Learn holds its Kids’ Summer Bookfest from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Kerouac Park in Downtown Lowell. Free books, games, face painting, food trucks, and more.
  • June 14 – The Lowell Summer Music Series kicks off the season at Boarding House Park with the Allman Betts Band. For the full schedule and tickets visit:

  • June 14 1 p.m. and June 15 10 a.m. – Dick Howe Jr. conducts the Spring Lowell Cemetery tours. 90 minutes. Meet at the Knapp Avenue entrance.

  • Dunstable: Sunday May 26 parade steps off at 1 p.m. from Highland Street to the Central Cemetery.
  • Lowell: Sunday May 26 10:30 a.m. ceremony at the Ladd & Whitney monument in front of City Hall; 11 a.m. ceremony at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium. Monday May 27 9 a.m. Centralville Vetrans Park ceremony at 700 Aiken ave.
  • Groton: Monday May 27 parade steps off at 9 a.m. from Legion Street down Main Street into the Town Center.
  • Pepperell: Monday May 27 parade steps off at 9 a.m. from Tarbell St. to the Town Monument at Park St. and Main St.
  • Tyngsboro: Monday May 27 parade steps off at 11 a.m. from Old Town Hall on Kendall Road to the American Legion Post No. 247 on Pawtucket Blvd.
