State Senator Ed Kennedy was happy to attend the second annual Lowell Asian American Film Festival at Middlesex Community College on Sunday, October 22nd. The three-day film festival began on Friday, October 20 and ended on Sunday.
The 2023 version of the Lowell Asian-American Film Festival featured eight films directed by Asian American film directors from across the country. This year’s festival attracted more than 450 people. On Sunday, Senator Kennedy viewed the showing of The Next Generation of Asian-American Art, a film that “explores how Asian Americans in California’s Central Valley are using art to reshape narratives about and within their communities.”
The Lowell Asian-American Film Festival is sponsored by Middlesex Community College, with support from the Middlesex Community College Foundation and is funded in part by a grant from the City of Lowell.
